Covers: Aerosol cans (full or partly full)
Usually not
Short answer: No, not with product still inside. Cans under pressure can burst, and many hold paint or pesticide.
Dumpsters.com says aerosol cans with liquid inside or that aren't empty can't go in a bin because they may explode. EPA added hazardous-waste aerosol cans to the universal waste rules for businesses. California treats non-empty aerosol cans as universal waste (DTSC).
Use up the contents or take the can to HHW.
