FAQ's About My Order

How do I change or cancel an order?

Please call 844-410-3867 to cancel or change your order, including keeping the container longer or having it removed sooner than you’d planned.

All cancellations or changes must be communicated to us one business day in advance to allow for processing. If you need the container longer than you designated in your initial order, there may be an additional charge. Cancelled orders may incur a cancellation fee.

Will the dumpster or delivery process damage my driveway?

Dumpsters on Demand highly recommends that you protect the surface area where the dumpster will be placed. A 4’ x 8’ sheet of plywood generally works well. You as the customer affirm that any right-of-way you provide (disclosed in delivery questions) for the dumpster is sufficient to bear the weight of all contractor equipment and vehicles required to perform the contracted service.

Dumpsters on Demand is not liable for damages to private driving surfaces, pavement, or road surfaces (in other words, the entire container placement site). We assume no responsibility for damage to any private driving surface, pavement, or accompanying subsurface of any route involved in performing the service for which you contract.

May I put the container on the street?

Please check with your local municipality. You will need to obtain necessary permits prior to dumpster delivery.

How much space do I need for the dumpster/for delivery?

Please refer to the container dimensions here. To assure adequate clearance, we recommend that you provide space to accommodate double the amount of the width and height of the container you choose.

What materials are not acceptable for dumpsters?

Hazardous waste such as items containing Freon, dirt, industrial waste, chemical products, oil filters, herbicides and pesticides, radioactive material, solvents, paint (except completely dry latex paint cans), other flammable liquids, aerosol cans, propane tanks, motor oil, transmission/lubricating/hydraulic oil, oil filters, contaminated oils (mixed with solvents, gasoline, etc.), antifreeze, appliances, petroleum-contaminated soil/lead paint chips, tires, batteries, computers, monitors, televisions, microwaves, fluorescent tubes, railroad ties, medical waste, asbestos, animals, barrels, and all liquids. (There may be additional limitations based on your locale. Contact your municipality for proper disposal of materials we can’t accept.)

Material must be level with the top of the dumpster; nothing can protrude beyond its height.

FAQ's About Placing an Order

What if I need a larger container?

Please review container sizes before you place your order to confirm the best-sized container to fit your needs. If you find during your project that you need more dumpster capacity, please see above: How do I change or cancel an order?

How far in advance do I need to order?

Online orders must be placed at least 2 business days ahead of requested delivery time. When ordering online, you will see a calendar with available dates. Please note that there is no guaranteed delivery time. If you need a container the first thing in the morning (deliveries begin at 8 a.m.), you should schedule delivery for the prior day. For all special or immediate requests, please call 844-410-3867.

Is service available 24 hours a day?

You can order online 24 hours a day; however, all online orders must be placed at least 2 business days in advance of dumpster need to allow for processing. Our phones are answered from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM ET.

What if my dumpster is full, but I haven’t finished my project?

Please call us at 844-410-3867. We’ll help you find a solution.

What if the driver comes for delivery or removal and I am not ready?

Please note that your contract indicates there may be an additional charge of $150 per visit if our driver is not able to successfully deliver or remove the dumpster.

Does someone have to be present when my dumpster is delivered or removed?

It is not necessary to have someone on-site for delivery or removal of the dumpster. However, please be as specific as possible when answering the delivery questions. If your order lacks detailed instructions and no one is on-site to direct dumpster placement, our drivers will use their best judgment and place the container in the safest accessible area.

If an on-site contact is not available at delivery, you will be responsible for all charges involved with any necessary relocation of the dumpster. For removal, you must provide unobstructed access to our equipment on the scheduled pick-up day. If our driver cannot gain access to the dumpster, there will be additional pick-up charges.

Will I be billed for extra weight?

Yes. Addition charges will apply for additional weight and for any unacceptable materials are found in the dumpster.
